a lovely June day!

Summer is going by way too fast and I know many of you agree with me. But on days like this where it feels like time slows down just a little I'm so grateful. I'm grateful for mornings that seem to stretch on while my little plays petshop for hours and I lounge on the couch not paying any attention to the clock.

I'm grateful that we can drive a few minutes down the road to leisurely shop and find some fun things while picking up a birthday present.

I'm grateful for yummy leftovers that are calling me to curl up on the couch again to relax. And lovely long naps that pasta seems to go along with. :-) And after that nap go to my welcoming crafty space to create some really sweet things! My happy place!

I'm grateful for beautiful music and great voices that only God above could create!

This one's for you babe! :-)

And I am so very grateful that we can spend time with and show love to our precious family. What a gift!! So blessed to watch this sweet boy grow up and see his fun, silly personality come out!

Love these crazy girls!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and that you don't take one minute for grated, but soak up each one and know that each is a gift from God above!

is it June already?

I really am having a hard time believing is already June!! Anyone out there feeling the same? Don't get me wrong I am glad it's the summer. We are so enjoying beach days and time in the pool with friends.

Things we've enjoyed recently are a cookout with friends and some family. Karina was invited to a couple friends end of the school year parties and I even squeezed in some time with a wonderful group of teenage gals and young women I love! So here is a little recap of our good times....

Not much beats key lime pie and strawberry lemonade!

Karina loves these water slides and I am thinking about renting one for her birthday in August.

I had seen this recipe of just a cake mix and can of pumpkin before and decided to try it. Loved it!! So moist and yummy!!

Aren't these headbands precious!!? My very talented sis in law makes them. So blessed by her craftiness.

Another day at the beach for us this last week and sweet friends.

After a great time at the beach I got home and my sweet friend Mara came and we started getting all the food ready for our little girl night. These fish tacos were amazing!! Not to mention the bacon wrapped green beans and oven baked s'more Sundays!!!

We also had fun making some body scrubs. The girls got really cute and fancy with their jars too. Loved it!

The next morning came too early since we didn't go to sleep until morning. :-)  But a few gals made a run for coffees when we woke up to the electricity off. Had a little fun with the dog too. Ha! The power came on shortly after and we made a yummy breakfast.

Come Sunday we had some really great college guys over for lunch after church that are here for the summer. It was great getting to know them and we look forward to spending more time with them soon. A sink full of dishes and leftover lasagna is always a good thing!

Also a good thing... Fresh flowers and naps on cozy couches!

This precious girl was also treated to getting her little ears pierced this weekend. We didn't really plan it but were in the right place at the right time. I love them and think she looks precious! She is a girly girl but she also likes guns! So look out!

And last but not least we tried a gas free mower this week. Truth be told we really wanted it to work and were excited about saving money on gas and maintenance. But it just didn't cut it. Really it literally didn't cut all the tall grass along with the shorter. So we returned it and are getting ours fixed for the zillionth time.

We will see how long it lasts but for now we are mowing our grass once a week and its growing fast. So that wraps up things for now. :-) Be back soon with more going on! Have a great rest of the week!
