beginning at the beach...

I know it's about time right?! Well I have just been enjoying being at home and getting back into the swing of things at my own pace and it's been wonderful! But yes, here are a few of the long awaited vacation pics. I am going to put them in a few different posts because it would be way to long to cram them in one.
I think this picture just might be my favorite from our trip. It is Karina and her new little friend Meredith. Kristi's youngest little one just melted my heart.( well all her precious kids did to tell the truth. ) She is such a fun little girl and loved to climb into my lap when she saw me sitting with Karina. They are just a month apart and I could see them becoming sweet friends if we lived closer.

These kids had the best time just being at the beach and I will say that I think it is the best source of entertainment ever! Thank you Lord!

Playing happily. Don't Caroline and Karina look to sweet playing in their matching swim suits. Their Nana was so sweet to give these to them. Thanks again Mom!

No this last picture is not of the house we stayed in, but ours was adorable and I will post pictures of it soon. That was however the path we took going from the beach back to our house that was over the dune, down the sandy path and across the street. Stay tuned for more....

Vacation pictures coming soon!!

Hey everybody, So sorry I haven't been on here lately. I was enjoying a wonderful vacation in S.C. with Karina. We both went with my sister in law and her kids to see a very sweet friend and her family. The Lord really blessed us with a great trip. We all stayed in a quaint and cozy beach house and loved making the trek across the street to the beach and letting the kids run and play in the sand and water. Doesn't that sound so relaxing? It was and yet we are home now and I am still so tired. So I have been taking this week to just slowly get back to our regular routine. It is wonderful to be back in my house and with my sweet husband that I missed a lot. I love that feeling of coming home and knowing it is right where you belong. So maybe by next week I will have some pictures up to show you all the great fun we had. So stay tuned. In the meantime have a great weekend!

A marvelous Mother's Day!

This was truly a marvelous day! After church we headed out to a really lovely park for a nice picnic lunch and had a great time. I was so blessed that we were joined by my mom and dad, Jeff's parents, his brother's precious family and my sister in laws sweet mom as well. We all had such a nice time relaxing in the shade as the darling daddies played with our kids. I am so extremely blessed to have these amazing women in my life and can't thank God enough for my own mother who has been such an inspiration to me and an awesome example of what a godly wife and mother is. Thank you mom for all your years of work and love. They mean more then you will ever know!! Enjoy the pics....

Pool playing!!

I had to share these fun pictures of Karina and her cousins with her new pool. I had been wanting one of these for this summer and knew Karina would love it at this age and boy does she. She plays in it almost every day and I love sitting out on the patio under the umbrella on a comfy seat to relax and watch her enjoy it. I know this will provide countless hours of entertainment this summer and I might even kick back in it every now and then. This day was a beautiful one and I was so glad my sister in law called me up and wanted to stop by. We had a nice little lunch and the kids had a great time in that water. Nothing like water and sun to wear them out. :)

Singing thanks for strawberries!

Doesn't this picture look like she is singing? I think she was just talking but it sure made a good title for this post. :) These pictures are from last week when we went to a U-Pick Strawberry field that also had a bunch of animals. Karina loved looking at all of them, but I think her favorite part was munching on those amazing berries. I love knowing that they are organic and picked fresh. We did the easy thing and just bought some that they had already picked that morning, because I could not see walking down those narrow rows of berries having to tell Karina no every time she wanted to pick one. Maybe in a few years she can, but until then I will let them do the work for us. :)

Girls night in....

This is a fun little sign I made at a friends house who hosted a girl night and decided to do this fun craft. It is card board covered with burlap and the design is done with coffee beans. We all made ours different. I don't know why my mind went to the Krispy Kreme sign when thinking of what to put on mine. So there it is. I also want to say how blessed I am to have the friends I do. Of course two of my closest friends that were there that night were my sister and sister in law. And I think that makes it even better. If you all are reading this know how very grateful to God I am for you and the wonderful times He blesses us with.
