Fun at the Commons!

Last week my sister and I packed the kids up in her van and headed out for the afternoon. We took the kids to a really neat little play area in the middle of a bunch of nice shops we like to visit. They loved it and didn't want to leave once we were ready. But I was able to capture their attention with a yummy warm pretzel bought at a local stand. We ate the first one so fast that I had to go back for another and we shared that one in the car on the way home. It was a great time and I loved spending it with my sister. We don't do things together enough and I am hoping we can get together more in the future. I hope you all can enjoy great times with your friends and family. Don't wait too long because time does fly.

Karina thought these fountains were pretty neat and she would've walked right into them if I didn't stop her. :)

She thought it was pretty funny when I told her to go hug the alligator.

So she decided to pose too.

This was Karina's first time on this little play area so she loved exploring.

Tammy's little guy Joseph was loving this place having been here before.

She thought this turtle was pretty fun.

Sweet girl cousins!

Having a good ol' time!!

Beware!

Beware the last five or so post are lots and lots of pictures of my sweet little girl that I snapped yesterday at a beautiful state park. Yes I went a little crazy, but what's the fun in life if you don't have some crazy moments right? So I hope you enjoy them, though by the end you might say enough already. :) I just couldn't pick a favorite and so this is the result. Well I better get to bed. Hope you all had a really nice weekend and that your week is blessed!

A girl and her bear...

I didn't think Karina had a favorite little toy, but I just might be wrong. Lately she has seemed to want to take this little bear where she goes. I love this bear and how scruffy he looks. I actually bought it before she was born when I was out Christmas shopping. I went into Pier One Kids with my sister in law and as she was buying things for her little boy I couldn't resist this little guy. My family will tell you though that I've always had a soft spot in my heart for stuffed animals. My mom would tell you that when I was growing up I had so many on my bed that she threatened to take them all to my wedding and sit them on the front row. She didn't. :)

Precious moments...

This little fountain made for some adorable and peaceful little shots. This park had a few different sculptures of children doing different things. I would love to go back and get some pictures with the others that I saw. I think one was two kids on a teeter totter and the other was two kids in a canoe. But this would be my favorite. Karina was taken with the fountain and it was so sweet to watch her take it all in. I hope you all can enjoy some peaceful and quiet moments as you go about your day.

Time for tea!

These two looked oh so sweet in this little set Emily put together. They seemed pretty tickled with it too since they sat there for quite a while so we could snap away. It looks like a little story book page to me.

My little flower girl

I forgot to say in the last post that we went to a lovely state park not too far away to take all these pictures. I am a bit of a flower nut so these might just be my favorite from the day. Yet I find myself saying that over and over again each time I sit down and look at all these photos.

This camellia bush was so beautiful and Karina and I both were taken with the wonderful red flowers. It reminded me of the song they sing on Alice In Wonderland, "We're painting the roses red". Silly I know. :)

Yes, it's a lot of pictures of what seems to be the same thing, but I figure it's my blog so I can put as many as I want to right. Hehehe. And they are all really different to me. Enjoy!

A picture perfect day!

This Saturday Karina and I were invited to tag along with my sister in laws family who had asked a close friend, who is also a professional photographer, to take their family pictures. So we did and had a marvelous time! I, not having the money to pay for the pro pictures, decided to go on with my own photo shoot. I must say I was able to capture some very precious moments of my sweet little girl and had so much fun while doing it. It was like we were in our own little world and I just let her roam as I snapped away. She sure loved having free rein to go where ever she liked. (Except into the water of course.) I will dedicate this post to my sweet friend Tyler who blessed me so much when she gifted me with this precious little white dress. I had really been wanting one and hadn't told anybody. Well maybe family. So you can imagine the joy I was feeling when I saw how sweet the pictures were with her in it. I hope you enjoy them too and stay tuned for more pics from the park.

The flowers are coming!!!

So here are the lovely amaryllis bulbs that my sweet friend gave to me. They were looking kinda sad for quite a while there and I wasn't quite sure if they were even going to bloom this year or not. Then one day I saw it. A beautiful little bud was peaking up out of the dirt staring right at me and saying here I am. I guess these bulbs liked how cold it got because we have had a few nights where the temps were at the freezing point. You should have seen me going out there with my plastic grocery bags to cover up all the little buds that had popped up. I was bound and determined to save the little buggers so that I could finally see what color they were going to be. They were a mystery because my friend didn't know what color they would be since she hadn't seen them bloom yet having just moved into the house and was cleaning out the yard a bit and these bulbs were all over the place!

SO I hope you enjoy the pictures and that they remind you of how great a God we serve and how creative and lovely a mind he has.

"The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, the world and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters." Psalm 24:1-2

Praise the Lord !!!!!

Cutest stamps ever!!

Can you believe how cute these stamps are? I know I am flipping out a little because I'm a knitter. So I knew all you knitters out there would appreciate these. For those of you who don't knit you should definately learn if you have the time and the desire. You will love it!
