Ok so it was more like a marina and we weren't watching too many clouds roll away. I think that's how the song goes. :) Today is a beautiful day here and we couldn't help but get outside and go somewhere fun as a family. There is a really neat marina here in town that we used to live right down the street from. Well now it's no longer a short walk, but a short drive and we can enjoy watching the boats and have a picnic lunch in the shade. So that is just what we did. Here are some pictures from our family time outside today.

...is no longer a question! For all of you wondering what in the world I am talking about, I cut my wedding dress and made it short. Now I know some of you will be gasping for breath that I would do such a thing. But to all of you out there that are just too stinkin' practical like me I think it turned out alright. My parents bought this dress for me three years ago to wear in my wedding out of the j.crew catalog that I had been getting for awhile in the mail. (just to dream of course because I don't shop out of it normally) When I spotted this dress I knew it was the ONE! It was simple yet sophisticated and the perfect style for me. And we didn't even have to alter it when it came in the mail. Shocker! I also saw the short version in the catalog and thought at the time that it would make a wonderful short dress too.

Today is my three year anniversary with my wonderful husband Jeff. I can't believe how quickly it has gone, but I know that's what everyone says right? :) Well, no matter how quickly it has gone or the many things we've been through together it is all amazing to me as I look back in time. I still can't believe that the Lord has blessed me with someone as wonderful as this man. He is perfect for me in so many ways and I can't imagine what life would have been without him. I couldn't help but sit and go through our pictures from the great trip we took on our honeymoon and thought it would be fun to share some with you. So here they are. I know it seems like a lot but this is only a small part of them. It was the best road trip I have ever been on. To be expected right? :) That's saying a lot though having toured Germany with my family. (Which was also wonderful! For all my family reading this. Hehehe.) But nothing beats being with the one God has given to you in marriage for the rest of your life. Thank you Lord! Enjoy!
Yes, my husband couldn't go on a trip without the computer of course. :)
Some fun places we went to see while in TN.
This is the Aquarium in TN. Awesome!
We also took in an IMAX show.
Then we took a day to go to the Biltmore. We toured the house. Walked the grounds and even did their wine tasting. So much fun!
This was a cute log cabin restaurant next door to our hotel in NC. The food was incredible!
This is back at the Stone Fort Inn. (Not quite in order here.) I will do another post just on this hotel. It was so neat inside and reminded me of a little inn that would be in the small towns in Germany.
Us having some breakfast before heading out for the day.
Some fun snapshots....
Would you believe this was actually carved into the log we are sitting on in the previous picture? No joke. I couldn't believe it myself. :)
Well I hope you all have wonderful memories of your honeymoon. And if you aren't married then I hope you have great memories of a special trip shared with friends or family that you love and hold dear! Love to you all!
