Karina's first egg hunt

We all had a great time going out to Pappy's work place at the sheriff's office for thier annual egg hunt. Karina didn't really know what to make of these shiny plastic things sitting all around in the grass, but seemed to be interested none the less. Cousin Ethan was a great help in filling his little cousin kk's bucket. She really didn't know what to make of the huge bunny that came up to say hi. The look on her face is seeming to say, "Who are you and why are you touching my stroller?" We'll have to work on the looks she gives people sometimes as she grows older. I have a feeling she is going to be one of these people that doesn't have to say anything because you can just read it all over her face. We'll see.

A lovely day at the park

We enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon the other day at a park not too far from our house. Walking around the pond and swinging in the swing was just what this mommy and baby needed. Karina made a little friend while at the park. As you can see in the picture above a little girl that was playing there decided that Karina needed some of her attention. She came up and talked so sweetly to Karina and then offered to push her on the swing. I was happy to let her but had to encourage her to be gentle. It was a very nice time and made me think of what it will be like when Karina has a little brother or sister and wants to do the same.

play time

Let's see, who should I call?

Ok so what now?

Man all this trying to crawl makes me sleepy.

Karina has been getting up on her knees quite a bit lately and rocking a little, but hasn't begun any serious crawling yet. She is pretty mobile though when she scoots around on her tummy. She also loves her little phone that I found at a yard sale. Is this the beginning of a little chatter box? Who knows. Maybe when she is a teenager I'll pull out this picture and show her. I don't really see her being a huge lover of talking on the phone because I am not, but you never know. Anyway thought you all would like these.

Happy Easter and Happy Spring!!

How silly is this!!

"Don't look at the flash little bunny!"

"Another picture mom?"

"OK I'll smile. "

Here are a few pictures from our Easter Sunday. I bought her a little basket and cute (silly) duck with bunny ears to celebrate spring so I thought we'd get a shot of her with it with her silly bunny ears on too. I couldn't resist. :) And then I was snapping some pictures of her in her little onesie that says, " My first Easter" on it that her Nana got for her with her little stuffed bunny too. We had an absolute wonderful Easter. I would've liked to hear more of the sermon in church but Karina was cranky and I was having to tend to her the whole time our pastor was preaching. I am sure it was good and full of rich truths. When we arrived home from church Karina went down for her nap just in time for me to ready some things for our yummy brunch. We had my parents, Jeff's parents, Jeff's brother and his family, and my sister in law's mom for lunch. It was a very very delicious meal and wonderful fellowship. I praise God that we could enjoy time with our family on the special day that we celebrate His being raised from the dead to redeem us from all our sin. To have a family that are believers in Christ and can take joy in and understand the priceless gift that God has given to us in the life and death and resurrection of His precious Son Jesus Christ is an amazing gift. Praise the Lord!!

baby blues!

How cute is this outfit!! Karina's Nana bought it for her and I just love it. She was all ready for church last Sunday and I had to snap a couple shots before we headed out the door. I love that she is not a baby that doesn't like hats on her head, at least not for now, maybe later.
